Catana YOT 53 earns a spot among Barche a Motore’s “10 most beautiful boats of 2025”

Barche a Motore closed out 2025 with a milestone: 35 years of stories, sea trials, and on-the-water life. To mark the anniversary, the magazine published a personal round-up of the 10 most beautiful boats its editor Federico Lanfranchi saw or experienced during the year—ranging from high-adrenaline outboard rockets to next-generation multihulls.

Why the YOT concept resonated

Lanfranchi’s selection highlights the YOT 53 as a catamaran designed to become a reference point in the competitive 15-meter segment—an ambition expressed through a few decisive design moves:

  • A stern that opens fully to the sea: The aft architecture is conceived to erase the boundary between deck and water, turning the transom area into a true “beach” experience—more direct access, more views, more life at the waterline.

  • A genuinely liveable upper deck: Rather than treating the flybridge as an add-on, the YOT approach makes it the social heart of the boat—built for morning cruising, midday shade, and sunset gatherings.

  • A complete day-to-night layout: The upper deck integrates a twin-seat helm, generous sun lounging, a U-shaped dining area, and a functional wet bar zone with practical cold storage and stowage—everything needed to keep people together without compromise.

  • An integrated hardtop: Protection from sun and weather is delivered with an architectural solution that looks “drawn in,” not bolted on—cleaner lines, better flow, and a more cohesive silhouette.

Recognition that matters

What makes this kind of editorial inclusion valuable is that it’s not a press release—it’s a curated, personal selection from a platform that spends the year around boats, yards, owners, and real sea time. In that context, seeing the YOT featured for its design impact is a strong signal: the market is rewarding boats that feel open, contemporary, and experience-driven, not just “bigger” or more powerful.

As we head into 2026, the message is clear: the YOT philosophy—space, openness, and seawater-level living—has become part of the conversation about what modern multihulls should be. And we’re proud to see that direction recognized.
