As every year, the world's largest and most important boat and water sports fair Boot Dusseldorf 2025 has seen the traditional award night go down in anticipation of the European Powerboat of the Year awards for 2025 - arguably the highest yearly recognitions for a new design - or shortly yachting Oscars. .

Designed to change the approach to motor yachting, the new Aquila 50 Yacht is elegant, extraordinarily robust, and resolutely designed to offer space while paying attention to performance.

The 2024 Miami boat show has been chosen as the venue to unveil the new Aquila 42C and 46C coupe versions.  J&J started to work for Aquila at the foundation of the company in 2011, and is honoured to assist the development from greenfield to the status of the largest power catamaran builder worldwide.

What are the key issues that will define the direction of boat building in the near future? Japec and Jernej Jakopin/ Studio J&J Design Awarded in Amsterdam. During the METS fair in Amsterdam the Boat Builder Awards 2024 (organised by METSTRADE/RAI, ICOMIA and IBI) were named. The Designers of the Year award  was assigned to Japec and Jernej Jakopin and Studio J&J Design.
