The Saxdor 320 GTC goes big in Japan

Being the biggest event of its kind in the country, the Japan International Boat Show has taken place at the Pacifico Yokohama on March 20, 2025. Judged by a panel of marine journalists and industry experts, the Saxdor 320 GTC has been awarded with the Boat of the Year Award in the category “Best Fun”. This category represents boats that offer a sporty driving feel while still pampering the guests and crew with full comfort.

Boats and personal watercraft sold in Japan across seven categories have been evaluated for design, performance, safety, environmental impact, concept, and overall value.

What has attracted the judges the most? This was a mix of the clever use of the deck area (through using the expandable side terraces to enlarge the cockpit)- while still retaining the full sporty driving feel behind the steering wheel. The enclosed wheelhouse is protecting the crew at all times while keeping an open communication between the cockpit, the steering station and the interior. The performance oriented hull is responsive and effortless to steer, ensuring a driving experience that caters to both experienced boaters and newcomers.

Seeing the Saxdor 320 GTC now being recognized in Asia as well as in Europe is an important sign that the concept has been well studied and executed, delivering a great driving feel, innovative solutions while ensuring a strong performance.
